Northern Paradise! Water glistens gently in a basin positioned along the mountain’s southern flank. A series of stone terraces links multiple pools and a spa, providing sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. The natural rock escarpment creates a protective enclosure, offering a sense of retreat from the outside world. Recognized with the APPQ First Prize in the From Matter to Nature category and selected as the top project of the entire competition, it also earned the Milan Havlin Award of Excellence in 2013.

Transforming this exposed corner lot into a succession of garden rooms both enhances the home and creates a sense of privacy for its owners. The stone patio flows naturally from the interior, accompanied by the soft, calming murmur of water.
